Evidence Based OMT App Reviews
This app is fantastic! As a professor in an entry level physical therapy program, I think this app is the ideal comprehensive teaching/learning resource for manual therapy for the entire body. Its extremely well-organized and easy to use. It also strikes the perfect balance between being comprehensive enough to be the single source of manual therapy education without overwhelming students with hundreds of (often overlapping) techniques. The evidence summaries are similary comprehensive yet succinct. I highly recommend this app for students, faculty, and practicing clinicians!
I recently downloaded this App. As a PT and Fellow in OMPT, I find this one of the most useful and dynamic apps on the subject of manual therapy. I am also on faculty in a DPT program where I am the primary Orthopaedic and Manual PT instructor. I plan to use these clips as a exceptional visual aid to support my labs. I am also recommending the students purchase this app for their own use. Well done!
As an OMPT fellow, it is rare to find a resource that is equally useful to me as it might be to an entry level practitioner. In all of their applications from C.O.R.E. to the OMPT platforms for Ipod /Droid, CRT have worked dilligently to provide evidence and science-based references to compliment the easy-to-follow and comprehensive manual therapy techniques for all of the body regions. It is also refreshing to have a collection that provides scientific rationale for the application of manual therapy rather than a collection of expert opions and dogmatic technique applications. Looking forward to the next app.
This is one of the best resources Ive had at my disposal as a student. Textbooks with pictures and word descriptions are nice, but video/audio at a touch of a button is worth its weight in gold to someone learning manual therapy. And, it gives you the most up to date evidence on the topic area for treatment! If youre looking for a good resource for manual therapy, I highly recommend this app. They also have convenient iphone apps that I recommend as well.
This is a truly useful and fantastic app. I feel that it will help me grow as a clinician by learning/reviewing manual therapy techniques, but also because it goes a step further by adding in evidence based for each body region linking it to article cataloged in pub med. It has very clear insturctional videos, which are supplemented by written instruction. I plan on utlizing this tool in the clinic to direct our lunchtime manipulation group, try new techniques with patients, train PTAs/techs for mobilizations, and find potential articles for journal club. I highly reccommend this for PT clinics or any PT/PT student who wants to be more effective with their patients by using manual therapy which is based on research.
